In 1999, I opened an office in Shanghai for my previous company.
The first training school that I ran had 17 people in the school. One of them was Thomas Du, a young Chinese man who spoke very little English.
I swear ? I remember his first day selling ? I was sitting in my office looking at him standing up and pitching on the phone very loudly, almost shouting. I looked him thinking to myself ? how is this guy going to make it?
Thomas wanted ?success? so badly that he worked harder than anyone else in the office. He was the first person in the office - the last person the go home ? he worked weekends, holidays?all the time.
Within 2 months, Thomas was the best sales person in the office (he was always challenging Jack and often times beating him) ?
When I transferred to Europe, Thomas was promoted to the Sales Director of the office and had become without question the most reliable, trust worthy and consistent leader I had ever worked with.
Although we started our companies around the same time - it was not until 2005 that we got back in touch and started discussing how we could work together. In the middle of 2007, I am proud to say that naseba and lnoppen joined forces.
Thomas is like my own brother ? he is definitely one of the people in my life that I trust, respect and can rely on the most.
Together we are building naseba/lnoppen into the biggest business information company, not just in China, but in Asia.
