Readership for my blog includes many religions and I am nobody to judge which one is the right one … as far as I am concerned we are all worshiping the same God…
I have purposefully not discussed nor given my opinions on religion and or politics in this blog.
and I do not want to get into religious discussions…this blog entry is not about religion.
however, consider this….
the last time I went to church in america (protestant christian church) the pastor led a prayer with …”god please give us the strength….”
I grew up going to church on sundays - and as a young kid memorizing bible texts, praying before meals - as well as lying, cheating and sometimes stealing … only to pray and ask for forgiveness …. and feel better knowing that God forgives me, etc.
But it was that instant at church many years ago… “god, please give us the strength..” when it all clicked…
Everyone has the “strength”…we all have the ability to discern between what is right and what is wrong.
we are free to choose/we are free to decide between chosing right and or choosing wrong….it is up to us to decide to choose what is “right.”
It is not the “devil” that leads us to betray our wives/husbands/friends/values/company…goals etc …. it is us allowing ourselves to be weak.
an old chinese saying says something like….
wisdom is the ability to discern between what is “right” and what is “wrong” — courage is always choosing and following what is “right.”
this is not about religion… this blog entry is about not letting anything get in the way of our focus…
It is up to us to use our abilities to their fullest…it is also up to us to stick to goals once we set them….
stick to your pitch…
