Bike:  5 hours (125 km)
Run:  90 minutes (15 km)

Comments:
After yesterday’s 25 km run, I could hardly walk… and my knees hurt.  It was the worst training day since I have been in Austria.
I was concerned today’s training would be negatively affected, but when I woke up … I noticed my legs felt fine.  No pain at all.

Ultimately, I had a great training day.  The weather was perfect.  Mario and I rode for 5 hours, 125 km … we had several long, steep climbs, but my legs felt good and for the most part I kept up with Mario’s pace.

I took about 5 minute transition after the bike to change my shorts and drank water before the run … I had an easy, but fast paced 15km run.
My legs felt great and the run went by quickly.  I am amazed at the recovery from yesterday’s training.

Tomorrow – Friday, I have a 4,000 meter swim in the morning and then 2 hours of core strength training at night…. so most of my day will be free.
Saturday – I have a 6 hour ride and 2 hour run … 8 hour training scheduled.

It impressive that my 52 year old coach, Mario Huys is doing all the training with me.  (all – but the swim)

He told Sophie that the reason he is doing the training with me is to ensure I train at the right pace, and also feel what I am feeling to ensure the plan is not too much or too little.
