no time for melodrama

This was my first run since the crash 12 days ago.  I ran 45 minutes.

Because my leg got infected the lymph nodes in my pelvic region are swollen which makes my entire groin area is extremely sore.
It was impossible to run before today because of this pain.

On Sunday, because of pain in my pelvic region I decided to go to another Doctor (a urologist)
The doctor confirmed what my Doctor had told me – that my leg is still infected, thus my swollen lymph nodes are causing pain in my groin, however, he is confident it will all be gone by the 24th.

Although I did not know this doctor, he told me he has been following my blog since he read about me in the paper.  The doctor was very enthusiastic and positive that my infection and pain will go away by the 24th.

The first few minutes of the run were fine, but after 3 minutes my knees and right leg were sore to the point I was sort of just limping along, looking like an old man…this is clearly visible in the video.

I ran about 5 minutes … stopped and walked for 10 seconds and then continued to run again.
The run was uncomfortable and slow, but I felt a little better as I ran.

To be honest, like this … I cant imagine running 7 marathons in a row.

Last night,Sophie told me  “In eleven years we have been together, I have never heard you doubt yourself … like I have heard you the past ten days…”I share what Sophie said to me … to kick myself in the nuts.

Mentally, I need to get my head back into focusing on the road ahead, and stop focusing on the pain.

Physically,  I am in shape to complete 7 consecutive ironman.

So it just comes down to how mentally strong I will be if my leg begins to hurt — and how I will manage the “uncomfortableness” of my right leg.

I just need to stop being a pussy and get on with it.

Adrian: “It’s suicide. You’ve seen him, you know how strong he is. YOU CAN’T WIN!”
Rocky: “Oh, Adrian. Adrian always tells the truth. No, maybe I can’t win. Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he’s got. But to beat me, he’s going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he’s gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he’s got to be willing to die himself. I don’t know if he’s ready to do that. I don’t know.”

Leg, pain, or whatever…. YOU are going to do it! Have a great time…. see you after you accomplish YOUR goal.

  3. It is such an awful incident…..But there is no one better than God who knows one’s extent of tolerance. HE knows You will come away with Flying Colors…. But you don’t know that yet….that’s y you are fretting over it a lot….Everything happens with a reason….

Being adventerous means going through dangerous terrains, not the safest route…..Consider this as one…..Hardships only heightens glory at the end……

ALL THE GLORY WILL BE YOURS ONLY, be sure of that…. BEST OF LUCK, SIR…… GODSPEED ON ALL SEVEN DAYS……
