some people just sit around and talk about what they’re gonna do, while others make it happen…

As most readers know, I have a challenge at naseba called the “Rolex Explorer challenge” – where the person in the company who does the most exceptional thing in their personal life wins a Rolex Explorer.

Ideally, this challenge gets all employees at naseba to reflect on their goals – and go after achieving them, not just write them down, leaving them unfulfilled.

Over the next few weeks, I will be posting different blogs about team naseba and various employee Rolex challenges from this year.

As you go through your day, think about your own challenge/goals.
Are you going after them?  Or, are your goals just unfulfilled dreams?

Last year, Adam Fletcher the General Manager of our Kuala Lumpur office nearly won the Rolex challenge – he led 7 employees in his office to take a trip to Borneo, and climb the 20th highest mountain in the world – 6 out of the 7 summited.

In 2012, he has gone after the challenge again …

Over the past year, Adam Fletcher has been (secretly) getting his pilot’s license.

Apparently, its a long process and you must get different licenses within the pilots license.

A couple months ago, he got certified to fly solo, and he flew — solo’d many times …

Recently, Adam got certified and licensed to rent a plane and take people with him – all alone.

Last week, two friends from the UK visited Adam, so he hired a plane and flew them around KL to show them the sites.

This weekend, he is renting a plane (apparently, renting small Cesena planes is not expensive – its like renting a car) and he is taking his wife to Thailand for the weekend – he will fly, just the two of them for the weekend to Thailand.

Impressive.

As you go through your day …  seriously, think of your own goals – even crazy goals like getting a pilots license.

But dont just think about them…
Go out and make them happen.
