finish or failure.

I am one of those people who is great at starting something, but I often lose in the battle with consistency, ultimately not achieving the end of my goal, but getting very close.
The past 18 months, I have been much more consistent with things in my life, but I can still become more focused.
It is 19:00 on Friday, I am in bed reading and relaxing … tomorrow at 7:00 am finally my first ironman will begin.
Like all paths to any goal, tomorrow it will come to down to this simple thought:
finish or failure.
www.ironmanlive.com my race number is #582

Mate, voice of experience here. Get the swim done solidly. When on the bike, if you feel like you are going to fast on the bike you are. If you feel about right, you are probably going too fast. think nutrition all the time, think salts, think carbs just think food food food.
If you get to the run its job done, dont be afraid to run walk, its not a failure to walk, its a stategy.
Toeing the start line is a massive acheivement, becoming M. means nothing, acheiving your goal means everything. Whatever you do dont swallow it.
Better to die on your arse than be thought of as a quitter.
Dunno if you will see this before you race or not, but good luck, and I hope you “stay in the moment” and are successful.
